Cafe & Then Some

He's better known as “Bubba” on stage. She's best known as “Norma Jean, a big ole country and western star”, but she has also introduced Café And Then Some regulars to a host of characters—from cosmetologist Joenine Whitehead to Mary Louise Earle McDaniel Hampton Pinckney.

The Furman Theatre
Each year, Furman produces three major plays, as well as experimental works, assembled pieces, one-person shows, student-directed plays, original scripts or other non-traditional productions. Also, the student improvisational troupe "Improv-Able Cause" performs monthly for student and public audiences.

Greenville County Museum of Art
The Greenville County Museum of Art offers its visitors a way to sample the very best in American art through traveling exhibitions and exhibitions drawn from its own collection. It also offers art classes, evening programs, and information for teachers and school classes.

Greenville Metropolitan Arts Council
The Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC) is the only organization in Greenville, South Carolina working daily to support every discipline of the arts. MAC provides support to area arts organizations and many individual artists through its grants program, through its cultural planning process, by advocating on behalf of all artists and arts groups, and by providing cooperative marketing opportunities promoting arts groups that might not have resources available to them. The organization also maintains a calendar of art events in the Greenville area.

Greenville Symphony Orchestra
The Greenville Symphony Association is dedicated to providing educational and cultural opportunities for the citizens of Greenville and surrounding communitites through the presentation of live orchestral music. Offering excellence in live musical performances, the orchestra enriches lives, educates minds and encourages community support of the arts.

Greer Cultural Arts Council
GCAC currently presents 4 plays per season, offers summer arts camp programs, and provides for other artistic opportunities throughout the year, including acting, drawing, dancing, and music.

Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University
The Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University, recognized as the “largest collection of religious art in the Western Hemisphere,” features works by major artists such as Rubens, van Dyck, Reni, Tintoretto, Le Brun, Cranach, Ribera, and Murillo, aesthetically exhibited with period furniture, sculpture, tapestries, and porcelains.

16th SC Volunteers Museum of Confederate History
The 16th South Carolina Volunteers Museum of Confederate History boasts a large and growing collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the War Between the States. The collection includes firearms, photographs, flags, edged weapons, currency, clothing, letters, newspapers, and other items from military and home life.

Upstate Visual Arts
Upstate Visual Arts began officially in 1991, when a small group of area business and cultural leaders resolved to serve both area artists and the community by celebrating the vast talent of local artists. UVA now exists as a thriving non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, almost 500 members strong, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life within the community by elevating the stature of visual art and educating the public to its significance.
