There are numerous camping areas in the Greenville, South Carolina area. The following state parks can be located by clicking South Carolina State Parks or by calling 1-888-887-2757 for cabins, camping and other facilities.

There are several campgrounds located in the Sumter National forest .
In the Andrew Pickens District is the Cherry Hill Campground in the located between Oconee State Park and the U.S. Fish Hatchery on SC 107. There is a nature trail in addition to camping. Information and reservations can be obtained by contacting the Andrew Pickens Ranger Station at 112 Andrew Pickens Circle, Mountain Rest, SC 29664, or calling (864) 638-9568.

The Whetstone Horse Campground is also located in the Andrew Pickens District just two miles from the Chattooga at Earls Ford, and is designed for campers with and without horses. Information and reservations can be obtained by calling (864) 638-9568.

The Brick House Campground is located Whitmire. This campground features a horse corale and unmarked trails for hiking and horseback riding. Hunters can use the campground during hunting season. The campgound is located in the Enoree District and reservations and information can be obtained by calling or writing the Enoree Ranger Station at 20 Work Center Rd.,Whitmire, SC 29718, (864) 276-4810.

Also located in the Enoree District is the Woods Ferry Campground. This Sumter National Forest campground is located on the Broad River. Several of the campsites have accompanying horse stalls. No reservations are needed for camping. There is a boat ramp and public restrooms available at the campground.
